Away In A Manger Cards

Happy Thursday!  Today I am sharing a post that is a little different with you.  It isn't a one sheet wonder set of cards, nor is it one that uses up a stack of 6x6" paper.  It is a little bit of both!  I used The Paper Studio's Away In A Manger paper pad (from Hobby Lobby) to come up with this collection of 11 cards.
There is a sheet of paper within that pad that has all of these fantastic images and sentiments to be cut apart.  So in that way, it is a one sheet wonder set, trying to use almost all of that one sheet.  I built the rest of these cards using patterned papers from that pad, card bases and a small amount of ivory cardstock.
All of the rectangle dies that I used on these cards are from Scrapbook Outlet.
The sentiments that I stamped on the cards below came from Annie's Paper Boutique's Merry Christmas stamp set.
I embellished with various washi tapes, sequins, white Nuvo Crystal Drops and Totally White Trendy Twine.  I really like how these all turned out!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Poinsettia Christmas Card

Good morning!  Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  The card I am sharing with you uses stamps from Raisin Boat's Dear Santa stamp set.
The poinsettia and pinecone stamped images were watercolored with Distress Inks and fussy cut out.
Isn't that postage stamp so cute?  The patterned papers I used are from DCWV's Merry Memories stack, and the rectangle dies are from Scrapbook Outlet.  Adhesives used include ATG, Scotch foam tape, and Scotch Tacky glue.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Winter Kids Crafts with Oriental Trading

Hello all!  Today I have some winter themed projects that were hours of fun for my kids and I to create together!  All the products in this post are from Oriental Trading.  Be sure to check out their winter section to see what would fit your crafting style.
First up, the Fleece Winter Tied Pillow Craft Kit was a hit!  I had two nephews over along with my 3 boys and they all were able to pick up on how to make these with some supervision from me.  They are ages 5-10, so if you have kids or grandkids in that age group or older, they can definitely do this!  They love having these on their beds.
Next, my boys made melty bead creations using white fuse beadsblack fuse beads, and shimmer fuse beads.  I think my favorite one is the mug of hot chocolate!  My 7 year old wanted to make sure there were marshmallows in it since that is how he likes his hot chocolate :)  The silver doily and the wood piece are also from Oriental Trading!
These bracelets are ones that I created using the Celebration Wire-Wrapped Bracelet Craft Kit.  Aren't they gorgeous?!  Perfect for ringing in the new year or any occasion, really.  I worked on these while my boys were creating the notecards you see in the next picture.
These notecards are 3x3" and the bases are created with white cardstock.  They are decorated with Winter Washi TapeSnowflake Stickers, and Ranger Stickles™ Metallic Glitter Glue Set.  I thought these would be sweet to add onto little treats for the co-workers my husband oversees at his job.  My boys also signed the backs of the cards.
Last, but certainly not least, my boys each decorated DIY Mini Coffee Cups with with Winter Washi TapeSnowflake Stickers, and Ranger Stickles™ Metallic Glitter Glue Set.
There was a lot of planning on what each one would add to their cup.  I think the pretty sparkles of the Ranger Stickles™ Metallic Glitter Glue Set made it a favorite for embellishing with!
They even added Stickles to the top of the cups!  These cups are 4oz. and are the perfect size for a few candies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

SumMore Fun Mood Board #17

Happy Friday! Today is the start of a new challenge at the SumMore Fun blog with a new mood board (you can see it at the bottom of this post). Here is what I created for inspiration!
The background was created on watercolor paper using Distress Oxide inks (top to bottom) Faded Jeans, Wilted Violet, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber and Black Soot around the outside.  The Victorine Originals Three Wise Men stamp was stamped in black at the bottom of the scene.  I decided to add distressing to the background with Black Soot Distress Ink and water to make it look like clouds.
The star from the Three Wise Men stamp was stamped with VersaMark and embossed in white.  I used GMD wonky rectangle die to cut out the scene.  The finishing touches were white gel pen dots to resemble stars and clear glitter Wink Of Stella around the star.
The inside of the card was stamped with the Victorine Originals Wishing You Joys of the Season stamp and the same star from the front that is part of the VO Three Wise Men stamp.
This is the wonderful mood board for the current challenge:
Head on over to the SumMore Fun blog and check out their challenge post. You have two weeks to enter your project/s.  We can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board.  Remember your project doesn't have to be All Decked Out only. You have three options Photo Inspiration, Color Palette, and/or Theme.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Trendy Twine ~ Mini Christmas Candy Boxes

Hello all and happy Thursday!  I am sharing these adorable little candy boxes I created on the Trendy Twine blog today.
I started by filling Mini Candy Cubes with Mint Truffle Hershey's Kisses, then wrapped some Christmas paper around them.  Then I created the tag and stamped sentiments from the APB Merry & Bright stamp set on them.  To embellish, I added a double bow of Berry Trendy Twine and a jingle bell as well as sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley.  Simple yet festive holiday treats complete!
Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

60th Anniversary Card

I had an aunt and uncle celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary recently, so I made this card for them!  The color for 60th anniversaries is diamond white, so I did my best to stay with that tradition.
The papers I used were from DCWV's Glitzy Glitter stack and DCWV's DIY project stack: Wedding (8.5x11").  The metal dies that I used were GMD Lacey Edged Rectangle, and Lacey Lattice Heart dies.  The 60 was designed in my SCAL4 software using the Imperial BT font.  I sized the glitter numbers 2.143" wide x 1.882" tall and then created a white shadow to cut as well.
The Happy Anniversary sentiment is from Victorine Originals' All Occasion Stamp set.  Embellishments included silver rhinestones.  Adhesives used were Scotch foam tape and Scotch Tacky glue.

I hope you have a wonderfully day!

Nativity Christmas Cards

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I have a duo of cards to share with you using Echo Park's Wise Men Still Seek Him 6x6 paper pad that my sweet crafty friend, Lisa, sent my way.  Thank you SO much, Lisa!
On this card, I mainly just cut apart elements from the papers that I really wanted to showcase.  The only embellishments are two brads.
The second card is a little more involved, using GMD scalloped stitched rectangles and GMD stitched rectangles dies.  The stamp is from a retired My Craft Spot stamp set and it was heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I added Totally White Trendy Twine to it and it was finished!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Ant Birthday Cards

I have a couple nephews who love bugs, so I made this card for them.
The papers I used are from DCWV's Boyhood stack and I added GMD ant die cuts and lime sequins.
For the tag, I used a Kraft Tag-It, Chocolate Truffle and Limeade Trendy Twines.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamp's Boy Talk set and it was stamped with Ranger Dye Ink in Java Bean.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

O Holy Night Church Card

Good morning! Today is my day to post on the SumMore Fun blog.  Today I am sharing this elegant O Holy Night Church card that uses Raisin Boat's O Holy Night stamp set.
I stamped the church with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I watercolored the image and then cut around it with my electronic cutting machine.
The night sky background was created with several colors of Distress Oxide inks (Fossilized Amber, Faded Denim, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Black Soot) on watercolor paper.  I added a piece of white torn paper at the bottom to resemble snow and die cut it with GMD Loopy Rectangle die.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder onto the background.  The church was popped up with foam tape and lastly, I added Stickles on the snow areas as well as on the background.

Here is a look at the O Holy Night stamp set:

Stacked Cupcakes Birthday Card

Hello all!  This card was created for a sweet 3 year old.  Perfect, right?!
I used a My Scrap Chick file called Stacking Cupcakes.  The patterned papers are from Echo Park's Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad.
I inked the individual cuts with brown chalk ink.  The sentiment stamp is from a retired My Craft Spot set.  The only embellishing I did was a few doodles with white gel pen and white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Christmas Treat Bags

For me, most of the fun at Christmas time is the joy of giving gifts to others!  Today I am sharing treat bags that I made up for my nieces, nephews, and my boys.  The products I used are from Oriental Trading.  I totally love their selection of stocking stuffers!
The adorable bags are Christmas Treat Bags with Handles and I love that they are opaque with vivid Christmas prints on them.  The handles are nice and sturdy too.   Here is the list of the treats I added to each bag for the older kids:  camo fidget spinner, Snappy popcorn microwave popcorn, Christmas Mini Notebook, Scripture Candy Old-Fashioned Soft Mints, Holiday Treat Character,
Hershey's Kisses® with Mint Truffle Filling Chocolate Candy, and Dum Dums® Holiday Lollipops.
I created a quick tag for each of the bags using paper from the Christmas/Winter Paper Pack
In the younger kids' bags, I removed the popcorn and small toy (choking hazards) and added a second Christmas Mini NotebookTransparent Glitter Stacking Point Crayon, and a mini fidget spinner instead of the larger one.  I know the kids will love these treats as much as I did putting them together!
